Welcome to Meerwasser-Lexikon, the interactive encyclopedia of marine animals and plants. Originally created in 2000 to collect insights on aquarium behavior, Meerwasser-Lexikon now transcends aquarium care, thanks to stunning underwater photos. With up to 11,000 daily visitors and millions of page views annually, our platform thrives on user experiences.
We encourage divers, aquarists, traders, and scientists to contribute their knowledge and high-quality media. Following a major revamp in 2016, users can now discuss entries and rate photos. We emphasize thoughtful commentary over rushed reviews, urging feedback after at least 6 weeks of care.
Remember, tank size recommendations are guidelines - each setup is unique. Thanks for being part of our thriving community, where learning and conservation drive our passion for the marine world. Dive in and explore the wonders of Meerwasser-Lexikon!
