Megóvlak

Megóvlak Animal Protection Foundation is a volunteer-led nonprofit based in Kiskőrös, Hungary, working to protect animals and find homes for those without one. Operating since 2007, the foundation receives no government budget support and finances its work through donations and personal income tax contributions. Its five-member board oversees the use of funds, which are directed entirely toward the foundation’s aims.

The organization provides temporary care and veterinary treatment for homeless animals, then helps them find permanent, caring homes. It also seeks temporary foster homes, particularly for dogs, and supports adoption and rehoming. The foundation can help people look for missing pets and offers information about responsible animal care through educational programs. It cooperates with other animal welfare groups and local authorities, and welcomes volunteers, foster carers, and donations of money or practical supplies.

The foundation currently reports caring for more than 50 animals and has reached capacity, so it cannot take in additional dogs or cats at this time.
