About MEGSRCDA
State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (SRCDA) is an integrative network created to provide services and assistance to individuals with disabilities in Meghalaya. Their mission includes various Rehabilitation Welfare Programmes such as Manpower Training, Public Awareness, Prevention, Early Intervention of Disability Certificates, and Community Based Rehabilitation Training. SRCDA also facilitates the Unique Disability ID (UDID) project, aiming to establish a National Database for Persons with Disabilities and issue them Unique Disability Identity Cards.
Additionally, they offer the Meritorious Scholarship for students with disabilities to promote equality in mainstream education. Services like District Resource Centres on Disability Affairs (DRCDA), Early Diagnostic and Intervention Centre (EDIC), and Assistance to Disabled Persons for Aids and Appliances (ADIP) are also provided. With a focus on uplifting and empowering individuals with disabilities, SRCDA is dedicated to creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.
