About Weingut Mehofer
BioWeingut Mehofer is a family-owned winery located at Neudeggerhof, on the beautiful Wagram region in Austria. With a legacy that spans over 300 years, the Mehofers have established themselves as pioneers in the organic wine industry since 1992. Their vineyards, situated on the deep and fertile loess soils of Wagram, produce exceptional Grรผner and Roter Veltliner wines, which are their favorite grape varieties.
Committed to sustainability, BioWeingut Mehofer implements practices such as using lightweight glass bottles, generating their own electricity and heat, and cultivating PIWI grape varieties as part of their future-oriented strategy. Aside from producing outstanding wines, BioWeingut Mehofer also offers a range of activities to enhance the visitor experience. Guests can stay overnight at the winery, explore the scenic Weinweg Wadenthal hiking trail, go cycling in the Wagram region, and even participate in wine tastings with the winemakers themselves.
