MekaStrike

MekaStrike is developing a humanoid robot combat sport that brings robotics engineering, competition, community and live entertainment together. Its goal is to take ideas from workshops into an arena, where teams build and pilot machines in a structured league. The planned Striker class sets an 80 kg weight limit and a 1.

25 m height limit, with a first event, MekaStrike Zero, scheduled for Toronto in September 2027. The venue has not yet been announced. MekaStrike is building the foundations for that event through an open builder community, shared engineering, rules, safety systems, inspections and testing.

Its Robot Zero reference machine is intended to test design assumptions, control architecture and recovery strategies before they become guidance for teams. Builders, students, engineers and researchers can join from anywhere, contribute to open challenges in areas such as mechanical design, controls, power systems and materials, and work on community projects or their own designs. MekaStrike also aims to connect contributors with teams, suppliers, sponsors and creators, while developing competition classes, partnerships and future championships
