Mekoros

Mekoros is an innovative tool designed for finding, exploring, and citing primary Torah sources. Users can pose questions or describe ideas, and Mekoros expertly retrieves relevant citations from the Tanach, Talmud Bavli and Yerushalmi, as well as works by Rishonim, Acharonim, halacha, and responsa. Each response includes the pertinent passage, a detailed explanation of its significance, and direct links to the full texts on platforms like Sefaria or in Mekoros’ own library.

The verification process ensures that every source cited is accurate and reliable—Mekoros only presents verifiable citations, genuine texts, and correctly attributed authorship. The platform was developed by Rabbi Rael Blumenthal, who actively seeks feedback from rabbanim, educators, and learners to foster continuous improvement. By leveraging the vast resources available through Sefaria, Mekoros offers a user-friendly interface that enriches the study of Torah texts, making it an essential resource for scholars and students alike
