Its services span the full development process, from project planning, brand positioning, consumer and market insights, and product and graphic design to prototyping, testing, production oversight, and launch strategy.

Mel offers independent lab testing and detailed product analysis using in-house tools and proprietary machinery, making specialized performance insights accessible to brands of different sizes. While skis and snowboards are at the heart of its expertise, the studio also develops ski and splitboard poles, backcountry tools, snowboard bindings, skin attachments, and point-of-purchase displays and technical showcase props. For projects requiring additional expertise, mel draws on a network of specialists, including composite engineers and backcountry experts.
