Melan Vääntäjät ry is an active paddling club based in Lohja, Finland, with approximately 190 members. Its activities bring together people interested in recreational paddling and canoe polo, offering opportunities for both newcomers and experienced members to develop their skills and enjoy time on the water. The club organizes guided paddling trips and regular Wednesday paddles, alongside canoe polo activities and indoor pool training.
During the summer, it runs Meloja 1 beginner courses for people starting out in paddling, as well as further training for members. In autumn, the program includes introductory canoe polo and paddling skills courses. The club also provides information about its equipment, storage facilities, safety practices, and member access to club resources.
Courses and trips are announced through the club’s website, where prospective members can also find details about joining. Melan Vääntäjät is a community-focused association for paddlers in the Lohja area. It does not offer kayak rentals, so its services are centered on club activities, instruction, and member participation
