Melbourne Osaka Cup

Melbourne Osaka Cup is an international ocean yacht race connecting Melbourne, Australia, with Osaka, Japan. Its website serves sailors, supporters and prospective entrants with information about the race, its history and upcoming editions. The event’s archive documents earlier races, including editions in 1987, 1991, 1995, 1999, 2018 and 2025, with results, competitor details, start dates, videos and race records available for reference.

The site also provides practical resources for participants, such as race documents, handicaps, training information, key dates and start times. News updates share event announcements and stories, while contact details and useful links help visitors find further information. The 10th edition is scheduled to start in March 2030, and expressions of interest are open. Information and Q&A sessions are planned to help prospective entrants understand the event and prepare their boats and crews. The organisers describe the challenge as comparable to eight Sydney to Hobart or Fastnet races sailed back-to-back.
