Melicera is a brand that was established in early 2018 by Giota Nizami in Trikala. However, its roots can be traced back to 1985 when the family patriarch, Mr. Ioannis Nizami, began his beekeeping journey.

Coming from the field of Biomedical Sciences and after a long professional career in Switzerland, Giota decided to return to her roots and engage in what holds the fondest childhood memories for her - honey. At Melicera, we believe in following the nomadic beekeeping approach as it is the healthiest and most enriching form of beekeeping. We produce and collect honey, pollen, and royal jelly using traditional methods that respect nature and people.

Our honey is packaged and standardized in our certified laboratory according to the ISO 22000/2018 food safety standard. We seal the jar with the taste of honey dictated by the bees, just as it comes out of the honeycomb, without any additional processing, gently filtering it to preserve all its precious ingredients. The honey varieties are limited in production and vary depending on the season and year.

Nature determines the uniqueness of each jar of Melicera honey. In addition to honey, all our products are creations of the Greek land. Our handmade beeswax candles are made from 100% beeswax from our own hives, using high-quality natural materials and aromatic oils that comply with the European regulation EU REACH.
