About Melissas Bondegaard
Melissas Bondegård is a private integrated early childhood institution in Horsens Municipality, Denmark, serving children from birth to age six across its nursery and kindergarten. Its approach centres on trust, security, community and development, with the aim of creating a childhood in harmony with nature. The institution offers spacious facilities and a large natural outdoor area where children can play, explore and learn.
Its activities include outdoor experiences, animal-related learning, play and curriculum-based activities, and a “garden to table” approach that helps children understand where food comes from and why it is valuable. Seasonal projects may involve harvesting, preparing and cooking food, as well as crafts, songs and outdoor trips. As an integrated institution, staff know children across the different groups, supporting continuity and familiar relationships.
For 2025, the reported staffing ratios are one adult to 2. 9 nursery children and one to 5. 9 kindergarten children.
Melissas Bondegård also provides practical information for families, including opening hours, enrolment rules, fees and inspection reports
