About Melody Locke
Melody Locke is a brand specializing in traditional and alternative photography, creating stunning fine art prints. With a focus on using black and white and infrared film, Melody develops silver gelatin black and white prints in a traditional wet darkroom. Additionally, she explores non-camera photographic processes, like lumen printing, using similar photographic papers.
This unique approach allows her to create vibrant and ethereal images using botanical materials and negatives. Inspired by nature, she captures breathtaking landscape photography as well as intimate lumen images of plants and flowers. Melody operates from her studio at the Houston Arts District in Sawyer Yards, and she warmly welcomes visitors on the second and third Saturdays of each month.
For special appointments, she is happy to accommodate other times. With a background in the arts and a strong association with the Museum of Fine Arts-Houston Glassell School of Art, Melody brings a wealth of creativity and expertise to her work
