Melsen Fonden blev etableret i juli 2020 og har fire overordnede formål: at yde økonomisk støtte til personer, som på grund af sygdom eller andre ikke selvforskyldte forhold er i økonomisk trang, til sygdomsbekæmpelse og forskning i samme, til forbedring af dyrs forhold samt til samfundsmæssige og velgørende formål i almindelighed – alt sammen med afsæt i Nordjylland. Melsen Fonden er i dag ledet af en bestyrelse bestående af formand Anker Laden-Andersen samt Kurt Ejgil Møller, Birgit Villadsen og Stiven Larsen.

About Melsen Fonden
Melsen Fonden is a charitable foundation established in July 2020, with a focus on supporting individuals in financial need due to illness or other non-self-inflicted circumstances. Operating in Nordjylland, Denmark, the foundation also directs its resources towards disease prevention and research, improving animal welfare, and contributing to societal and charitable causes. They recently made a significant donation to Hjerteforeningen Nordjylland, providing them with 280 new defibrillators.
Melsen Fonden's impact extends to the medical field, as they have funded three new robots for Aalborg Universitetshospital, elevating robot-assisted surgeries to new heights. The foundation also supports Sæby Gymnastikforening, aiding in the development of a new outdoor activity area. Additionally, they contribute to Allerup Rideterapi og Ridefysioterapi, enhancing horse-based physiotherapy in Nordjylland.
