MEMO 98 is a highly regarded specialist media monitoring organization with over 22 years of experience. Our expertise lies in delivering comprehensive media analyses for international institutions and providing technical assistance to civil society groups. Our journey began in June 1998, when we monitored the Slovak media before the parliamentary elections.

We assessed the media's impartiality in covering political contestants and campaign issues using qualitative and quantitative analysis. The success of this project led to the establishment of MEMO 98 as an organization. Since then, we have conducted numerous projects in Slovakia and nearly 60 other countries, focusing on improving media environments, fostering critical thinking, and helping citizens access reliable information.

Additionally, we offer a range of services, including consultancy, technical assistance, media-related legislation drafting, media ethics assessments, and the promotion of journalistic skills through training.
