Memories to Quilts

Memories to Quilts is a custom quilting business run by Diane Ottenfeld in Oregon. Diane transforms customers’ T-shirts and other meaningful clothing into cozy, personalized quilts that preserve memories and tell the stories behind the garments. With more than 20 years of quilting experience, she brings careful craftsmanship, detailed design, and professional layout skills to each project. Her background includes a degree in graphic design and a long career framing fine art, which informs the way she arranges fabrics and memorabilia into cohesive designs.

The quilts can reflect a wide range of themes, including sports, travel, concerts, conferences, and other memorable events. Jerseys, sweatshirts, bandanas, and similar items can also be incorporated. Memories to Quilts creates remembrance quilts from the clothing of departed loved ones, including smaller quilts for sharing with family members. In addition to custom projects, Diane helps complete unfinished quilts and offers some quilt repair services. The business welcomes customers with a particular vision and works with them to develop a keepsake suited to their story.
