Nuneaton Bedworth and District Mencap Society is an independent, volunteer-led charity affiliated with the Royal Mencap Society. For more than 50 years, it has supported adults and children with learning disabilities in Nuneaton, Bedworth and the wider community, while also welcoming their families, friends and carers. The charity provides social, creative and life-skills activities for people of all ages and abilities, helping participants connect, develop skills and feel included.

Its community centre, located near Nuneaton town centre, has a main hall, games room and lounge, with free onsite parking and lift access to the first floor. Visitors can join activities, meet others or relax with refreshments, and carers and family members are encouraged to take part or enjoy a break. The charity’s volunteers are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding and health and safety.

Guided by a vision of a world where people with learning disabilities are valued equally, listened to and included, the society relies on donations and fundraising. People can also support its work through membership or volunteering
