About Mending Casts Inc
Mending Casts is an official ACNC Registered Charity dedicated to changing lives one cast at a time. Since January 2019, we have been offering free respite retreats through licensed Reel Recovery and Casting For Recovery programs to individuals battling cancer. These unique retreats blend the therapeutic benefits of fly-fishing and nature connection with a supportive space for sharing experiences.
As a self-funded, volunteer-run charity, we depend on donations from fundraisers, supporters, sponsors, and partnerships to support our programs. Our mission is to improve the lives of cancer patients through fly-fishing retreats, aiming to become the foremost provider of such retreats in Australia. Upholding values like compassion, integrity, and teamwork, our dedicated management committee ensures the success of our initiatives by leading with passion and expertise.
