About Mengsberger Schäfchen
Mengsberger Schäfchen is a conservation project dedicated to helping save the Skudde, an old domestic sheep breed described on its website as threatened with extinction. The project is led by Armin Staufenberg in Neustadt-Mengsberg and invites supporters to take part as clients and sponsors of the Mengsberg Skudde sheep initiative. Its focus is on the breed’s preservation, with information about the project’s origins, the Skudde breed, and the project’s breeding and husbandry mission.
The website also includes a products section and offers a way to support the work through sponsorship, though the supplied information does not specify particular products or sponsorship terms. The project is presented alongside links to Mengsberg’s official website, the Förderverein Haustierschutzpark Marburg e. V., and the Society for the Conservation of Old and Endangered Livestock Breeds.
Mengsberger Schäfchen combines public information and opportunities for support to promote the continued care and conservation of this rare sheep breed
