About Mensa Foundation
The Mensa Education & Research Foundation is a philanthropic nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering excellence in human intelligence. Established in 1971, the foundation operates as a 501(c)(3) entity and focuses on scholarships, education, and awards. Annually, the Mensa Foundation awards an average of $175,000 through its scholarship program, which is managed by a network of 400 volunteers across the country.
Additionally, the foundation recognizes outstanding research, education, and practical achievements in the fields of giftedness, intelligence, and creativity through national and international awards. To promote educational initiatives, the foundation supports the Mensa for Kids website and other award-winning activities for gifted youth. The Mensa Research Journal, published by the foundation, provides a platform for scholarly research in the field of intelligence.
