Mentes Empreendedoras is a private, nonprofit organisation working at the intersection of education and social entrepreneurship. Its mission is to help create a generation of proactive, resilient citizens who make a positive impact in their communities. The organisation works with young people, teachers, schools and municipalities through programmes focused on personal development, leadership and community engagement.

Its Clubes Mentes Empreendedoras encourage young people to build initiative and resilience by solving problems that affect their communities. Inspira o Teu Professor strengthens teachers’ social mission and positions students as agents of change and inspiration. Leadership Fellows supports participants in their personal and professional development and in contributing to positive social impact. The organisation also promotes leadership, autonomy, talent and perseverance through its programmes.

Mentes Empreendedoras runs Global Teacher Prize Portugal, a competition open to teachers working from pre-school through the 12th grade, in regular and other educational settings. The organisation shares programme information, news and articles, and invites schools, municipalities, teachers and participants to explore opportunities to get involved.
