MeowTown Cat Lounge is a nonprofit cat café and rescue organization in McLean, Virginia, bringing people and adoptable cats together in a welcoming, home-like setting. Its dual mission is to help rescue cats find permanent homes and create meaningful employment for individuals with special needs. By introducing cats outside the shelter environment, MeowTown gives visitors the chance to discover their personalities and build connections that may lead to adoption.
Visitors can book 50-minute cat lounge sessions to relax, spend time with the cats, and learn about adopting a feline companion. The lounge also offers four-hour passes, gift cards, and discounted visits for eligible military personnel, veterans, first responders, nurses, teachers, and seniors. Membership options include a monthly plan with six lounge visits and access to member events, as well as ongoing monthly donations that support the cats and their care. MeowTown also hosts events and offers private-event and sponsorship opportunities. Reservations are recommended, as space can fill quickly, though walk-ins may be accommodated when available.
