MEREC Industries is a Mozambican food manufacturer founded in 1998 and recognised nationally for producing essential food and agricultural products. The company’s portfolio includes maize and wheat flours, wheat flour blends, pasta, biscuits, and animal feeds for poultry, cattle, rabbits, and pigs. Its brands and products serve both household cooking and industrial bakery needs, with offerings promoted for their authentic flavour and practical use in recipes.
MEREC operates 15 production units across Mozambique, with facilities in Matola, Beira, and Nacala. Its integrated operations include wheat and maize mills, pasta and biscuit factories, feed production, storage silos, and warehouses. A distribution network helps the company supply customers throughout the country. The website also features recipes using MEREC products and information about agricultural solutions and export services. Through MEREC Plus, a customer loyalty programme, buyers can collect points found inside product bags. Together, its manufacturing, product range, and nationwide distribution make MEREC a significant part of Mozambique’s food industry.
