Mere Down Falconry is a private falconry centre located on a working farm in Mere, Wiltshire. Open since 2007, it offers booked experiences focused on close, hands-on encounters with birds of prey. The centre is not open to general visitors, and it keeps group sizes small to provide a more personal experience.
Visitors can discover a variety of raptors, including owls, hawks, falcons and a yellow-billed kite. Available activities include three-hour half-day experiences, two-hour family handling sessions and 90-minute owl encounters. A three-hour photographic session is also offered, giving participants time to observe and photograph the birds. These experiences are designed to help guests connect with the animals and learn about falconry through direct interaction.
