MERIDIAN BENFLEET

Meridian Kung Fu – Benfleet is a martial arts school serving children and adults in Benfleet and the surrounding Essex area. Part of Meridian Kung Fu, the organisation says it has taught students across Essex for more than 25 years, while its Benfleet school has been established locally for over five years. Its Wing Chun classes welcome beginners and experienced martial artists, with no upper age limit and training suited to different levels of fitness and ability.

Courses include Snakes & Cranes for younger children, Junior and Teen Wing Chun, adult beginner classes, and an Elite programme featuring advanced training and specialist weapons. Children’s programmes aim to develop confidence and life skills alongside martial arts ability. Adult classes teach traditional Wing Chun skills, fitness and wellbeing, with self-defence training for protecting oneself and family. Students can also use the Members Learning Zone for curriculum and self-defence practice, with training plans available through the MKF app.

Classes are held at Holy Family Church Hall in Benfleet and Runnymede Hall in Thundersley.
