Merit Systems

Merit Systems is an agentic commerce product house based in Williamsburg, New York, building tools that help AI agents participate in commerce across the internet. Its focus is on enabling agents to discover services, make payments, and complete transactions. By developing products for these core activities, Merit Systems aims to support the infrastructure needed for AI agents to interact with online services and carry out commerce-related tasks.

The company describes itself as an agentic commerce product house and provides a dedicated channel for developers, alongside contact information and resources including a blog, terms, and privacy details. Merit Systems has announced a $10 million seed round led by a16z, with coverage noted by CNBC. While the available information does not identify specific products or provide details about their features, it presents the company’s work as centered on tools for agent-driven discovery, payment, and transactions. Its stated purpose places it within the emerging space where AI agents can find services and act online, rather than only provide recommendations or information.
