Micro Electronics Research Labs (MERL) is a pioneering brand with a vision to position Pakistan as a significant global player in the microelectronics industry. Through our mission to establish MERL chapters in Pakistani universities, we strive to foster research and development on RISC-V based ASICs, FPGAs, and SoCs. At MERL, we offer a range of services, including the Shared Die Multi Project Wafer (SDMPW) Service, which collaborates with foundries like GlobalFoundries, TSMC, and SMC to provide cost-competitive services for aggregating blocks/IPs from within Pakistan. We also provide design tools and training, acquiring academic EDA licenses for SoC design while offering comprehensive training in their use.
