About Marine and Environmental Research
Welcome to Marine and Environmental Research (MER) Lab! We are a marine research facility located in the beautiful coastal city of Limassol, Cyprus. Our lab is situated just 200 meters from the beach, making it an ideal location for studying and monitoring marine ecosystems. At MER, we offer a range of services that focus on the conservation and sustainability of marine environments.
Our expertise lies in coastal and offshore research, where we collaborate with universities, research institutes, NGOs, and policy-makers. We conduct environmental impact assessments and monitoring to evaluate the effects of proposed and existing coastal developments. Additionally, we specialize in fisheries research and work towards managing fish populations sustainably.
We also offer services related to aquaculture, such as fish farm management, environmental consulting, disease diagnostics, and nutrition. Our goal is to ensure the sustainability of aquaculture practices. With ongoing projects and publications, we strive to make a difference in the field of marine and environmental research.
