Merriewood Equestrian Riding School

Merriewood Equestrian Riding School is a small, family-run riding school on the outskirts of Winchester, Hampshire. Set in the countryside, it offers a calm environment centred on the wellbeing, health and happiness of its horses. The school cares for five horses under its riding school licence and places strong emphasis on thoughtful horse care, welfare and personal customer service.

Merriewood’s classical ethos encourages riders to keep learning and to develop an understanding of their horses, helping them progress with empathy and supporting the horses’ natural development. Lessons are available to children and adults, from beginners through to advanced riders. The school also offers hacks, giving customers opportunities to ride beyond the lesson setting. Private instruction is available, with enquiries welcome from prospective riders.

Merriewood Equestrian combines riding tuition with a considered approach to equine care, aiming to build a positive connection between horse and rider. Customers can contact the school by phone or email to ask about lessons and hacks.
