Medicolegal & Ethics Society of Ethiopia (MESE) is a not-for-profit professional society that strives to improve medicolegal and ethical knowledge, promote patient safety, and uphold the right to health through advocacy, education, research, and system support. Founded in April 2021, MESE brings together health and legal professionals, as well as associates, to work collaboratively towards these goals. MESE offers a range of products and services to its members and clients.

These include professional development programs and resources that help enhance their skills, manage risks, and ensure standard service delivery, while also teaching them about their legal and ethical responsibilities. MESE also actively engages in public policy and advocacy work, making submissions and responding to issues related to medicolegal, ethics, patient safety, the right to health, and consumer rights and protections. By joining MESE, members have access to a supportive network, community groups, forums, as well as ongoing events and workshops.

MESE aims to create a just and safe healthcare environment for all individuals, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups such as women, children, persons with disabilities, migrants, persons living with HIV/AIDS, and marginalized populations
