MesoRFA

The Mesothelioma Research Foundation of America is a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding research aimed at finding a cure for mesothelioma and improving treatment options. Since 2001, the Foundation has supported the Mesothelioma Laboratory at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles, under the supervision of oncologist and hematologist Dr. Parkash Gill. It reports that all proceeds it receives go to the center to support research and clinical trials, including work on Veglin and studies involving EphB-4 and PD-1.

The Foundation raises funds through community events, including golf invitational tournaments and sporting-clay shoots organized with pipe trades groups. It also helps patients and families find practical support. Its resources include information about clinical trials, pharmaceutical patient assistance programs, and financial help for cancer-related costs. Cancer Information Specialists are available by phone to help locate relevant organizations, medication resources, and answers to mesothelioma questions. Through research funding, fundraising, and information services, the Foundation seeks to advance care and assist people affected by mesothelioma.
