A Igreja Messiânica Mundial foi instituída no Japão, em 1935, por Mokiti Okada, Meishu-Sama (Senhor da Luz). No Brasil, a instituição possui cerca de 500 unidades, denominadas Johrei Center, e atualmente, conta com cerca de um milhão e oitocentos mil seguidores. Destes, mais de meio milhão é ministrante de Johrei.

About Messiânica
The Worldwide Church of the Messiah, founded in Japan on January 1, 1935, by Mokiti Okada, known to Messianics as Meishu-Sama, which translates to "Lord of Light. " The Brazilian branch of the Worldwide Church of the Messiah focuses on spiritual elevation through three main pillars established by Meishu-Sama: Johrei, the channeling of divine light for spiritual purification; Natural Agriculture, cultivating with love, respect, and gratitude for nature; and Beauty, an essential appreciation to uplift human sensitivity. They offer sacred grounds, divine writings, prayers, salvation columns, monthly worship services, and experiences of faith.
Additionally, they provide educational courses, like Missionary Training and Teaching and Didactics. They emphasize gratitude offerings and humanitarian campaigns, like supporting Rio Grande do Sul. With a strong online presence through various channels, they promote spiritual growth and community engagement
