The Messmer-Eitmann Foundation is a community-focused organization based in Hermann, Missouri, established by Clara Eitmann-Messmer. Inspired by her vision of supporting older residents, the foundation began by building the Messmer & Eitmann Senior Center and offers low-cost meals, health-focused resources, and activities of interest to the local community.

Through its two main services, the foundation brings together dining and fitness in a welcoming setting. Miss Clara’s Restaurant, owned and operated by the foundation, serves well-balanced meals to the local senior community. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with delivery available within Hermann city limits.

The foundation also operates Hermann Fitness Source, a fitness facility designed to provide a comfortable atmosphere and encourage active, healthy lifestyles for the active-aging community. Its hours include early mornings on weekdays and Saturday morning access. Together, these services reflect the foundation’s commitment to community well-being, nourishing meals, and opportunities to stay active.
