Mesterségek Ünnepe is a celebration of Hungarian folk art and traditional crafts, held at Buda Castle. Organized by the Association of Folk Art Associations, the festival brings together artisans, performers and visitors for an immersive experience of craftsmanship, music and dance. Its program features around 800 master craftworkers and live workshops, where guests can discover the techniques and stories behind a wide range of trades.

Visitors can also explore the work of applied artists and international makers from countries across Europe and Asia. The festival’s activities include stage performances, folk-inspired fashion shows, children’s programs and cultural presentations, alongside practical information for planning a visit, such as ticket details, opening hours and venue locations. In 2026, the event will highlight folk pottery and welcome master artisans, dancers and musicians from the United States as its guest of honor.

Mesterségek Ünnepe offers a lively meeting place for traditional culture, hands-on discovery and artistic exchange, celebrating heritage while connecting audiences with craftspeople and performers
