About Meters and More
Meters and More is a non-profit association based in Brussels, operating and promoting the METERS AND MORE communication protocol. This global smart meter solution was established by E-distribuzione SpA and Endesa Distribución SA, with the aim of implementing standard pan-European Smart Metering solutions. The association comprises various industry players, research institutes, and universities, all working together to develop and evolve the protocol specifications.
The METERS AND MORE protocol facilitates bidirectional data transfer between smart meters and central billing systems, enabling advanced smart metering in an efficient manner. This initiative aligns with the EU Commission Mandate 441, which seeks to provide standard AMM solutions across the continent. Membership is open to interested entities, and by joining the association, members gain access to the protocol documentation and contribute to its further development.
