About Metrion
Metrion is a home-laboratory project documenting practical measurements, sensor tests, and engineering experiments. Its notes focus on making results repeatable and useful, with enough context for readers to revisit or reproduce a setup later. The site covers a deliberately narrow range of topics: household sensors, ESP32 devices, power use, monitoring, wiring choices, and firmware details.
Recent articles describe checking an SHT41 sensor against a simple reference setup, measuring ESP32 deep-sleep power and regulator losses, exporting home sensor data to Prometheus, and diagnosing errors on long I²C connections. The project also provides a sensor-status page with current sample values for a small selection of household sensors, refreshed from a same-origin JSON file.
Rather than aiming for broad coverage or polished presentation, Metrion emphasizes hands-on investigation and clear technical records. It is a resource for documenting what was measured, how a setup was assembled, and which practical decisions mattered in a small home lab.
