About Métro El Djazaïr
Métro El Djazaïr is Algeria’s national metro operating company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Entreprise Métro d’Alger (EMA). Established in 2020, it is responsible for operating and maintaining the Algiers Metro. The urban network serves 10 municipalities, extending 16.8 kilometres and connecting 19 stations. Nearly 1,000 employees support daily operations, carrying an average of 150,000 passengers a day with an emphasis on safety, comfort and reliable service.
The company provides passenger information and customer support, including details about operating hours, fares, usage rules, tourist locations, tickets and transport-unit cards. Its free mobile application, available in Arabic and French, helps users follow service offers, schedules and fares, and contact customer service with questions, suggestions or complaints. Customers can also visit commercial agencies at selected metro stations, including Place des Martyrs, Tafourah–Grande Poste, Bachdjarah, Aïn Naâdja and El Harrach Centre. Métro El Djazaïr also shares network news and service updates through its website and social media channels.
