Metropolis Music Company, founded in 1994 and based in Belgrade, Serbia, is a prominent music publishing house and the exclusive representative of Universal Music in the country. Over its two-decade history, Metropolis has collaborated with significant names in the local music scene, releasing numerous albums now considered cult classics, particularly in the alternative genre. Renowned rock bands like Dža ili Bu, Goblini, and Van Gogh have all been part of their rich discography.

In 2016, the company embraced jazz by launching the Metropolis Jazz label, promoting talented ensembles such as Schime Trio and Vasil Hadžimanov Band. Metropolis also operates a unique cultural hub in the heart of Belgrade, offering a music store and café-restaurant where patrons can enjoy international cuisine alongside a curated selection of music on CD and vinyl. With over 200 concerts featuring diverse genres, Metropolis Music continues to foster a vibrant music community, making it a vital player in Serbia’s cultural landscape.
