MetropolisPlus is an independent website devoted to comic books, collecting, and comics history, with a particular affection for DC Comics and the Bronze Age. Created as a labor of love, it offers carefully researched articles and high-quality images for readers who enjoy the wonder of classic comics. The site explores topics including the history of Superman’s symbol, the origins and boundaries of the Bronze Age, DC character logos, the return of the original Captain Marvel, and memorable comic-cover themes.

Visitors can also find a guide to the DC Animated Universe and restored images of spinner-rack signage, reflecting the era when comics could be discovered in everyday shops and travel stops. MetropolisPlus places special emphasis on image restoration, working to present covers, panels, and artwork with clarity and fidelity to their original appearance. The site is ad-free and says it does not track visitors or their devices.
