Metropolis Vívó Club

Metropolis Vívó Club is a fencing association founded in 2017 to make traditional sabre fencing accessible to people of all ages in Óbuda-Békásmegyer, Budapest. Its welcoming, community-focused environment combines the enjoyment of movement with structured training led by experienced coaches. Classes are available for children from age eight and for adults, from beginners to advanced fencers, hobbyists and competitive athletes.

The club provides specialist fencing equipment for children starting out, with the option to purchase it later at a club discount. Training develops fencing fundamentals, footwork, defensive and attacking techniques, physical coordination and concentration. Participants can progress through skill assessments into advanced and competition groups, with opportunities to join the club and take part in fencing competitions.

Competitive fencers receive ongoing individual instruction, training programmes and support with preparation. Adult hobby and amateur classes are also offered. Based at venues in Óbuda, the club emphasizes health, perseverance, teamwork and friendship, and organizes shared sporting activities, including corporate team-building events
