Meg Metropoulos

Metropoulos Amplification is the company behind a range of guitar amplifiers inspired by classic British Plexi designs. Its lineup includes the DVL-1, Metro-Plex and Super-Plex, combining vintage-style tones with features intended for modern flexibility and convenience. Developed by George Metropoulos with Alice in Chains vocalist William DuVall, the DVL-1 is a 100-watt Plexi-style amplifier designed for broad functionality while prioritizing component quality, signal purity and tone.

The Metro-Plex is offered as a 100/50-watt head and is presented as a way to access authentic Plexi tones with modern features. The 100-watt Super-Plex focuses on early Plexi sounds and uses KT66 tubes for British-style clean tones and overdrive. Metropoulos also features other amplifier designs, Plexi replicas and amplifier cabinets, with products available through its online store.

The company’s website provides product information and purchasing options, along with a forum and contact section for visitors seeking further details. Its offerings center on classic-inspired amplifier sound and practical versatility
