MFC Red Baron e. V. is a model aviation club founded in Kirchheim bei München on February 17, 1995.
Since 1997, its home has been a 1. 1-hectare flying site at the Staatsgut Grub in the Ebersberg district, where members gather to fly, share expertise, and enjoy time together. The club welcomes people of all ages and experience levels, from beginners to seasoned pilots, and supports a range of interests, including gliders, powered aircraft, helicopters, and drones.
Its focus is on recreational flying, technical curiosity, and community rather than competition. Members help one another, exchange advice, test models, and spend time together at the flying field. The club holds authorization for powered models up to 25 kilograms; following changes to the surrounding airspace, turbines are permitted only in helicopters.
MFC Red Baron promotes youth participation, supports pilots at every level, and emphasizes safety, responsibility, and respect for the environment. It also plans to develop its flying site and introduce new areas of model aviation, creating further opportunities for young people to discover the hobby
