Welcome to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management (MFEM), the central agency in the Cook Islands Government responsible for financial and economic matters. Comprising seven divisions, MFEM provides policy advice and effective governance across the public sector. Our goal is to deliver excellence in public service and sound decision-making.
At MFEM, we offer a range of products and services to support our mission for Cook Islanders. Our Economic Planning Division focuses on economic and fiscal analysis, while our Treasury Management Division ensures effective financial management. The Revenue Management Division handles tax and customs revenue collection, facilitating trade and protecting the border. Our Cook Islands Statistics Office collects and publishes vital statistics, and our Development Coordination Division manages development assistance projects.
Led by our Financial Secretary, Garth Henderson, our team of dedicated professionals brings together diverse expertise to solve problems and oversee strategic infrastructural projects.
