Die Geschichte beginnt vor Tausenden von Jahren und ist noch lange nicht beendet. Wir laden Sie ein, weiter zu denken und die Zukunft aktiv zu gestalten. Im mehrfach preisgekrönten Museumsbau am Schaumainkai erhalten Sie einen umfassenden Einblick in die Geschichte der Kommunikation. Als Besonderheiten gelten die Abteilung Kunst und Kommunikation und das lebendige Angebot der Kinderwerkstatt. In der Dauerausstellung „Mediengeschichte|n neu erzählt!“ können Sie auf 2.500 qm die Entwicklung der Kommunikation erleben. Anhand von bahnbrechenden Erfindungen, kuriosen Erlebnissen und ungewöhnlichen Schicksalen spannen wir den Bogen von der Keilschrifttafel bis zur Datenbrille. Im 1. Obergeschoss befindet sich neben dem Mitmachbereich der Kinderwerkstatt das Forum – ein Ausstellungsraum für kleinere Wechselausstellungen. Im 2. Obergeschoss werden auf 550 qm Fläche große Wechselausstellungen präsentiert. Auf dem Museumsdach ist eine Funkstation untergebracht, die jeden 1. und 3. Sonntag im Monat geöffnet ist.

MfK Frankfurt, also known as the Museum of Communication Frankfurt, offers a comprehensive exploration of the history, present, and future of communication.
