Fowler Art

Megan Fowler Art is the independent art practice of Atlanta-based fine artist Megan Fowler, who creates figurative oil paintings shaped by personal experience and explorations of femininity. The human figure has long been central to her work, particularly the tension between the body as a physical presence and as a conceptual idea. Her paintings consider the relationship between an authentic self, society’s interpretations of femininity, and the complexities of lived experience.

Fowler studied at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia, developing her skills in drawing and painting while also exploring metalworking, jewelry, photography, and fabric design. She also studied in Cortona, Italy, where the work of artists including Caravaggio influenced her. After earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration, she established her art business in 2017.
