MG SZ-UR

The Modellfluggruppe Schwyz-Uri (MG SZ-UR) is a model aviation club serving enthusiasts in the Swiss cantons of Schwyz and Uri. Founded in 1961, the group is dedicated to the enjoyment of model flying and welcomes people interested in discovering the hobby. Its website introduces the club, its committee and membership, and shares information through a model display, photo gallery, and practical resources on model aviation and drones.

Members benefit from access to the group’s model flying fields, opportunities to exchange expertise, and a sociable community. The club leases and operates its flying sites; use is reserved for members and others authorized by the association. MG SZ-UR also shares information about flying activities and events, including indoor flying sessions, and lists relevant dates for members and visitors. Online resources include weather and webcam links, useful external links, and updates from the club’s Instagram channel. The group is affiliated with the Swiss Model Flying Association (SMV), connecting its local community with the wider national model flying network.
