About Malawi Global Fund CCM
Malawi Global Fund Coordinating Committee (MGFCC) is the Country Coordinating Mechanism (CCM) established by the Government of Malawi to ensure the effective investment of Global Fund resources for the health and well-being of Malawians. With a mandate to mobilize resources from the Global Fund, MGFCC develops and submits funding requests and provides oversight and support for the implementation of Global Fund grants. The organization operates through inclusive, multi-stakeholder governance structures, including the Executive Committee, the Resource Mobilization Committee, and the Oversight Committee.
These committees work collaboratively to make informed decisions and ensure the transparent and accountable execution of grants. The MGFCC Secretariat serves as the administrative agent, managing the day-to-day activities of the organization. Their responsibilities include coordinating concept note development, engaging a broad range of stakeholders, and ensuring the involvement of communities affected by HIV, TB, and malaria.
Discover the dedicated team at the MGFCC Secretariat, led by Mr. Cuthbert Nyirenda as the Executive Secretary, Ms. Chifundo Kayoka as the Oversight Support Officer, and Mrs.
Amiya Khoriyo Gondwe as the Program Assistant. Overall, the Malawi Global Fund Coordinating Committee plays a vital role in mobilizing resources and coordinating efforts to maximize health outcomes for the people of Malawi, in their fight against HIV, TB, and malaria.
