מקראות גדולות הכתר

Mikraot Gedolot HaKeter is a scholarly project of Bar-Ilan University dedicated to producing a critically edited edition of the traditional Jewish biblical anthology known as Mikraot Gedolot. Led by Professor Menachem Cohen, the project prepares the Hebrew Bible, ancient Aramaic translations, medieval commentaries and Masoretic notes using careful comparison with manuscripts. Its biblical text and Masoretic tradition are based on the Aleppo Codex, with missing sections reconstructed, while the translations and commentaries are established from selected manuscript sources. The edition also includes explanatory aids, such as guidance to the Masoretic notes, and presents twenty commentaries with features designed to support reading and research.

The project offers a free-to-explore online edition with text browsing and advanced searches, including searches for vocalization and cantillation marks, alongside study materials, user guides and research activities. A printed edition is also available in 21 volumes, with introductions and supporting articles. The site serves students, educators, researchers and readers seeking an accessible, carefully edited resource for biblical study.
