The Monique Gallusser-Lafont-Stiftung is a charitable foundation established on 27 May 2003 by Monique Gallusser-Lafont. Based in St. Gallen and supervised by the Eastern Switzerland BVG and Foundation Supervisory Authority, it supports projects in Eastern Switzerland that promote animal welfare and protect animals’ habitats.
Its work spans the care and rescue of wild and domestic animals, including birds of prey, dogs, cats, bees, bumblebees, butterflies, hedgehogs, hazel dormice, and donkeys. The foundation has contributed to veterinary expenses, animal rescue, and feed costs, and has supported initiatives such as wildlife and fawn rescue, including drone-assisted fawn searches. It also backs habitat protection through projects involving mountain forests, biotopes, and dry-stone walls.
Organizations and individuals seeking financial support must generally be based in the cantons of St. Gallen, Thurgau, Appenzell Ausserrhoden or Innerrhoden, Schaffhausen, Zurich, Glarus, or Graubünden; exceptions may be considered for projects benefiting these areas. Applications are accepted digitally and should include a project description, annual accounts, annual report, and project budget
