About MHACF
Established in 1946, the Mental Health Association of Central Florida (MHACF) is a leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and promoting overall mental health. With a mission to provide mental health services, support, and information to the members of the Central Florida community, MHACF offers a wide range of services to fulfill this commitment. Their services include complimentary resources and professional referrals through their Mental Health Connections program, free mental health services at their Outlook Clinic (the only free mental health clinic in Florida for qualified individuals), as well as Peer Support Recovery and Guardian Advocate services.
MHACF also takes a strong stance against violence, racism, hate, and discrimination through their Equity Statement and works diligently to break cycles of multi-generational distress for marginalized communities. With their featured programs like the Connections Referral Program, Guardian Advocate, and Reflections peer-driven recovery community, MHACF continues to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by mental health concerns. They also organize various community events, support groups, and trainings to raise awareness and provide resources
