About MHFA Ersthelfer
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a pioneering initiative dedicated to equipping individuals with the skills necessary to provide first aid for mental health issues. Our mission is to ensure that everyone can confidently assist those facing psychological crises, mirroring the established practices of physical first aid. We offer comprehensive training programs aimed at adults and youths, enabling participants to recognize various mental health challenges and respond effectively.
Our signature 12-hour and 14-hour MHFA courses train adults to support peers and youth respectively, emphasizing practical knowledge and empathetic response techniques. Additionally, MHFA collaborates with companies and organizations to integrate mental health support within the workplace, helping to identify and address psychological problems early.
Backed by research from the Central Institute for Mental Health, MHFA’s approach closes crucial gaps in public mental health care, fostering a society where individuals with mental health struggles are supported and acknowledged.
